Death toll from Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon rises to 394, over 1,000 Injured

Lebanon’s Minister of Health announced that the number of victims from Israeli airstrikes has risen to 394 killed, including children and women, in addition to 1,130 injured. He also reported the killing of nine paramedics and that several hospitals have gone out of service.

Lebanese Minister of Health Rakan Nasr al-Din announced today that the death toll from Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon has risen to 394 people killed and 1,130 wounded since the confrontations began about a week ago.

Nasr al-Din said during a press conference that the victims include 83 children and 42 women, noting that the bombardment has also killed nine paramedics since the fighting began last Monday.

The minister condemned the targeting of medical facilities and ambulance crews, pointing out that a number of hospitals have gone out of service due to the field conditions and the military escalation.

Israeli airstrikes on areas in Lebanon resumed after Hezbollah launched rockets from Lebanese territory, in an escalation that followed the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei during joint U.S.–Israeli strikes.

In recent days, Israel has carried out waves of airstrikes on several areas in Lebanon, while also sending ground forces to border areas in the south.
