Death of Afrin citizen during forced migration

On Tuesday, convoys of forcibly displaced people from Afrin and Shahba Canton arrived in Tabqa Canton.

The journey lasted dozens of hours, during which the residents suffered immensely from cold, hunger, and a lack of medication. Unfortunately, Nouri Horro, who was part of the convoy, passed away on the way, and his body was transferred to Tabqa Hospital, according to ANHA correspondent.

This morning, a 4-month-old infant, also among the forcibly displaced from Afrin and Shahba, died from the cold during the harsh displacement journey.

On October 27, Turkish occupation mercenaries launched wide-scale attacks on rural Afrin and Shahba, coinciding with an offensive by "Hayat Tahrir al-Sham" mercenaries on rural Aleppo. Several neighborhoods were seized after the withdrawal of Damascus government forces, leading to the displacement of thousands of families from Afrin and Shahba, as well as the forced migration of thousands from Aleppo and its western and southern countryside to areas under the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.
