Daqouri Tribe: ready to contain conflicts in thwarting sedition attempts

On May 1, the village of Sarnaja Daqouri, affiliated with Amuda city, witnessed a meeting that brought together sheikhs and dignitaries of Kurdish and Arab tribes, in a step aimed at enhancing civil peace and strengthening social ties among the region’s components, amid ongoing attempts by hostile parties to spread discord and destabilize stability.

 On the sidelines of the meeting, ANHA agency conducted an interview with the spokesperson of the Daqouri tribe in Rojava, Fahd Mohammed Saeed Agha, who stressed the need to reinforce coexistence and confront attempts to spread hate speech among the people of the region.

Fahd Mohammed Saeed Agha confirmed that the aim of the meeting was to promote security and safety, prevent any incidents or disputes, and work to strengthen social ties among all components.

Agha stated that the tribes seek immediate intervention in the event of any sedition or conflict, emphasizing the need to reject hate speech and avoid anything that could create divisions within society, as well as to preserve the state of peaceful coexistence for which the region has long been known.

He pointed out that there are attempts by certain hostile parties to create discord between Kurds and Arabs, saying: “The awareness of society and the vigilance of community leaders have thwarted these efforts,” affirming that the people of Hasakah and Qamishlo are aware of what is being plotted against them and have not been drawn into those schemes.

Fahd Mohammed Saeed Agha concluded by emphasizing that the meeting also aimed to enhance coordination among the sheikhs and dignitaries of the Jazira region and to prepare to confront any emergency that might threaten stability, calling on all tribes to remain vigilant, cautious, and to work together to protect society.
