The intensity of Damascus Authority forces' shelling on the Jableh countryside has escalated, with helicopter airstrikes targeting Beit Aana from the direction of the village of Ma’arin, coinciding with artillery bombardment on the village of Dweir Baabda. This has led to widespread fear among civilians, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Local residents reported that the sounds of explosions shook the area. So far, there is no accurate information on the extent of human and material losses, but initial reports indicate casualties and injuries among civilians.

The Syrian Observatory also reported that the town of Daliyah in the Jableh countryside, along with the village of Beit Aana, witnessed a security campaign carried out by the "Internal Security Forces" affiliated with the Damascus Authority. This campaign was accompanied by artillery shelling, alongside ongoing clashes with machine guns between security forces and local armed groups.

Simultaneously, military convoys belonging to Damascus Authority forces entered the area, consisting of approximately 20 vehicles, some equipped with "Dushka" heavy machine guns and armored vehicles, with reports of additional reinforcements arriving.

According to Observatory sources, local residents refused to hand over any individuals without being presented with a search warrant or official documentation, leading to skirmishes with security personnel. This escalated into gunfire being shot into the air to disperse gatherings. Meanwhile, one suspect accused of arms trafficking was arrested.
