The Star Conference Council published a special message on the occasion of International Women's Day, which falls on March 8 of each year, calling on all women to join the call of Leader Abdullah Ocalan for peace and a democratic society based on women's freedom. The Council also announced 10 points for women's freedom and the future of Syria.

The text of the Kongra Star message was as follows:

"On the occasion of March 8, 2025, we salute all the hardworking and resistant women in prisons and the fighters in the free mountains. We salute the honorable resistance of Tishreen Dam that wrote a new page in history with the enthusiasm of March 8.

Our struggle as free women has continued since the dawn of history until today, from Rosa Luxemburg to Sakina Cansez, from Vian Soran to Gina Amini, Shirin Alam Holi and Haifa Arabo.

While leading the women's revolution and defending our revolution in North and East Syria, the comrades who lead the revolution of freedom and equality, such as Kerem Shehab, Manija Haydar, Jihan Bilkin, Zozan Hamo, Hasna Abdi, Mazgin Qamishlo, Qamar, Heza Kobani, Ronahi Yekta, Jinda Kobani, Dilan Shorsh and the leader Ergin Kobani, were targeted by the occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries in the genocidal attacks that They wage it, we remember in the person of our comrades in arms and our cause all the martyrs and renew our pledge to fulfill their wishes and goals.

We salute Leader Abdullah Ocalan with sincere love and longing, and we congratulate the leader on this occasion from the fields of the women's revolution with all enthusiasm, we join the historic call launched by Leader Abdullah Ocalan for peace and a democratic society with all our strength and souls.

We emphasize in the Kongra Star the necessity of achieving the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan for the solution, and we consider the historic call he made in his message on February 27 for peace and a democratic society as a foundation on which we rely, everyone has witnessed this historic moment, Leader Abdullah Ocalan opened the door wide open with his call for peace and democracy in Kurdistan and the Middle East, and this door against the Third World War, against the killing of women, the historic call has become the strongest ground, it represents the solution for the current century as well as the solution to the issue of women's freedom, adopting women in this process is a matter of existence.

This long struggle has spread all over the world today, and the Leader, by defining the criteria of freedom, guides the way to a world free of religious, national and gender bigotry, for women, peoples and all of humanity. The Leader developed the democratic, ecological and women's freedom model under harsh conditions in Imrali Prison. This model is no longer just a theory or a word, but is applied in social and political life, with the model of free will, and organizes society in all its spectrums, and free and equal life among women and peoples becomes an alternative. In this phase we are going through, we face war, occupation, displacement, violence, misery and the destruction of nature everywhere and in all fields of the struggle of free women. This reality is manifested in Kurdistan through assassinations, political genocide policies, femicide, harassment and rape, as well as the execution of women and the marriage of minors. This system of capitalist modernity and the mentality of male domination are represented in the plans of the occupying Turkish state. Women are rising up and struggling against injustice, male domination and the system of tyranny all over the world.

As the level of women's struggle increases, the level of knowledge of women's science is strengthened, and the culture and philosophy of "Woman, Life, Freedom" is entrenched everywhere. The more women's awareness and knowledge increases, the more society's awareness and knowledge increases. The leadership of the women's revolution has affected society as a whole, and this indicates that the greater the impact of women's struggle globally, the more "Woman, Life, Freedom" will triumph.

The reconstruction of Syria is on the agenda, and the map of the Middle East is being redrawn. In this context, the Syrian Republic was established in a way that did not recognize the will of women. Now, a more dangerous picture is emerging with Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham. On the one hand, we see that women are being restricted and oppressed through serious crimes such as arrest, beating, killing, and forcing women to wear the niqab. On the other hand, they are committing war crimes against women and families in the areas under Turkish occupation, such as Ras al-Ain, Afrin, Gire Spi, al-Bab, and Jarablus.

Women have built, through their will, uprising, and the standards of rejection they follow, and their knowledge of free life and democratic confederation, a model of solution for women and peoples. On the occasion of March 8, we call on all courageous women who raise their voices loudly in the squares of freedom and women yearning for freedom in all Syrian cities to build a democratic, decentralized Syria in which women are a fundamental partner in building the future and making decisions, respecting each other, and struggling together.

We call on all women to join Leader Abdullah Ocalan's call for peace and a democratic society based on women's freedom with the enthusiasm of March 8. Let us celebrate March 8 in the squares of free women with our unity and solidarity.

We, at Kongra Star, based on our belief in women's rights and the necessity of their participation in building the future of Syria, define the following points on the occasion of March 8:

- Based on Leader Abdullah Ocalan's historic call for peace and a democratic society, we will intensify our struggle in Rojava and Syria at the forefront of this historic call.

- Strengthening the struggle for the freedom of all Syrian women.

- Rebuilding Syria with women at the forefront in a democratic, diverse, decentralized way that respects cultural and linguistic pluralism.

- We demand the writing of a constitution that guarantees women's rights clearly and transparently, and achieves equality in rights and duties without discrimination in the new constitution that is being prepared.

- Building a democratic society based on the confederal system for women.

- We demand that women's representation in all legislative, administrative and judicial institutions be at a rate of no less than 50%, and any system that does not achieve this rate cannot be accepted.

- Women must be involved in the political process, and women's active political roles must not be marginalized, because women's representation in all stages of the political process, from negotiations to decision-making, is the basis of the political solution.

- The role of women in defending their gains must be strengthened, and for this we support the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), which defend the values of freedom and democracy.

- The people of Syria must decide the future of their country, and women must have the full will to live the way they want.

- The democratic federal system within the framework of the democratic confederal system is the most appropriate model for achieving equality and justice, and it is the best solution for enabling women and society to own their decisions in all of Syria.
