DAA of Al-Jazira Canton condemns Turkish occupation's targeting of shifters in Tishreen Dam

The Turkish occupation state's targeting of the people on duty in the Tishreen Dam again to prevent any damage to the body of the dam, which may lead to its collapse, and to demand the cessation of the war, on Saturday, in an infinite toll, led to the fall of 4 martyrs and the injury of 21 others, including those seriously injured.

The Democratic Autonomous Administration expressed its wishes of mercy for the martyrs and a speedy recovery for the wounded, as well as condemning "these crimes and the direct targeting of civilians."

This came through a statement made by the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Al-Jazira Canton, today (Sunday), read in Arabic by the co-chair of the People's Assembly, Arya Mulla Ahmed, and in Kurdish by the co-chair of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Al-Jazira Canton, Hassan Shro, in front of the Executive Council building in the city of Amuda.

The Autonomous Administration indicated in the statement that the Turkish occupation has been bombing for days the gatherings of civilians who went to the Tishreen Dam to support their sons in the Syrian Democratic Forces, where it bombed again, a gathering of people in the dam in front of the eyes and ears of the whole world, and a number of people were martyred and injured.

In a development prepared by the Autonomous Administration, "refers to the double standards of international, human rights, humanitarian and United Nations organizations towards our people in the cities of NE Syria, who provided more than 12,000 martyrs on behalf of the world to rid them of the most dangerous terrorist organization that was receiving its support from Turkey."

The statement stressed: "What Turkey is committing today in the region of NE Syria, especially in the Tishreen Dam and the Qaraqozaq Bridge, and targeting the people, "is considered crimes according to international laws."

And added: "attacks and massacres are a major challenge to all international laws and conventions, and in an effort to create a deliberate vacuum for the return of terrorism and extremism," stressing that the international community must act urgently to reduce and stop these crimes.

The Autonomous Administration's statement also called on "international powers and organizations, foremost of which is the United Nations, to apply and protect their laws that are usurped by the Turkish occupation."

In conclusion, the statement stressed: "We in Al-Jazira Canton and with the support of our people, affirm our determination to resist and support the military forces that defend the presence and unity of components in the region, to reach a democratic and decentralized Syria free from the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries classified on the global and international terrorist lists."
