DAA in Afrin and Shahba: Our resistance and revolution can't be stopped

Today, the Autonomous Administration of Afrin and Shahba Canton made a statement on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the founding of the Autonomous Administration of Afrin Canton in Sardam camp. It was read by Afrin and Shahba Council member Naji Salem and Afrin and Shahba District Council member Rizgar Lolo.

The statement said: “Our people commemorate the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in Afrin, which through its efforts and determination achieved its social existence and achieved its freedom.”

The statement explained: "Afrin became the safest place to live in after the declaration of Democratic Autonomous Administration , but the Turkish occupation state made security in Afrin its goal, so it attacked Afrin and wanted to destroy the Autonomous Administration project, but the people of Afrin resisted and did not stop their resistance."

The statement noted: "The Turkish attacks against Afrin did not defeat the will of its people and its administration, but rather continued in the spirit of resistance to the era, and our resistance continues until this moment."

The statement explained: “On the tenth anniversary of the founding of the Autonomous Administration in Afrin, we call on our people in Afrin and Shahba to adhere more to their political, moral and social project within the Democratic Autonomous Administration, through self-organization, self-education and self-defense within the framework of the revolutionary people’s war and raising the level of struggle until the liberation of Afrin and occupied areas."
