DAA extends condolences for victims of Hasakah–Shaddadi road accident

Earlier this morning, a severe traffic accident took place on the roadway linking Hasakah and Shaddadi in al-Jazira canton. The collision involved a fuel tanker and a passenger transport vehicle, resulting in multiple casualties.

The Autonomous Administration conveys its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, affirming:

“This devastating incident serves as a solemn reminder of our responsibility to enhance public safety standards, safeguard the lives of our citizens, and diligently work towards preventing the recurrence of such tragedies.”

The full statement reads as follows:

“With profound sadness and sorrow, we received news of the tragic accident on the Hasakah–Shaddadi road in the Jazira region, which resulted in the loss of thirteen members of our community and left nine others injured.

On behalf of the Autonomous Administration, we mourn the loss of these individuals and extend our sincere condolences and deepest sympathies to their families and loved ones. We pray for patience and solace for the bereaved, and for mercy and peace upon the souls of the departed.

We emphasize that this calamity touches us all and underscores our collective duty to strengthen public safety measures, protect the lives of our citizens, and tirelessly endeavor to prevent the recurrence of such catastrophes.
