DAA delegation visits HQ operation " Enduring Securtiy"

While the "Enduring Security" operation launched by the Internal Security Forces, Women's Protection Units, and Syrian Democratic Forces continues for the fifth day, searching and cleaning al-Hol camp and its surroundings from ISIS sleeper cells, a delegation from the Autonomous Administration of al-Jazira canton visited the camp today. 

 While the "Enduring Security" operation launched by the Internal Security Forces, Women's Protection Units, and the Syrian Democratic Forces continues on its fifth day to search and clean al-Hol camp and its surroundings from ISIS mercenary cells, a delegation from the Autonomous Administration of al-Jazira canton visited the camp today.

 The delegation included the co-chairmanship of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration in the region and its deputies, alongside the co-chairmanships of the Internal and Social Affairs and Labor Committees.

 During the visit, the delegation met with the administration of al-Hol camp and discussed the main challenges facing the camp's residents, the weakness of international assistance to them, as well as the danger posed by ISIS sleeper cells to the residents.

 The delegation also visited the forces of the "Enduring Security" operations room and learned about the progress of the operation.

 During the meetings, the focus was on the necessity of finding a permanent solution to the issue of ISIS mercenaries detained in prisons, as well as their families in the camps in the regions of North and East Syria. The lack of response from international powers in finding a permanent solution to this dilemma was also criticized.

 On the sidelines of the visit, the co-chair of the Executive Council of al-Jazira region, Mohammed al-Barak, spoke to ANHA agency's correspondent and pointed out that the camp houses thousands of families of ISIS mercenaries, who pose a danger and at the same time, a significant burden on the Autonomous Administration.

 Al-Barak noted that the Autonomous Administration provides services in all aspects to the camp and strives diligently to maintain security there.

 He called on international powers to provide more support to the Democratic Autonomous Administration, with the aim of finding a solution to the issue of ISIS mercenaries and their families, considering that they constitute a significant burden that even countries cannot bear.
