DAA : conference does not represent Syrian people

The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued a statement regarding the so-called "Syrian National Dialogue Conference", which was held in Damascus.

The Autonomous Administration, during its statement, indicated that the committee formed to prepare for the conference does not represent the components of the Syrian people, and what happened and is happening is far from what the Syrians aspired to and aspire to.

The Autonomous Administration announced that it will not be part of implementing the outcomes of the conference, and called for holding a real national dialogue conference, and addressed its speech to the Syrians at the end of the statement by saying: "We call upon our Syrian people that we will continue our work to achieve the goals of our revolution so that we are worthy of the sacrifices and achieve the hopes and aspirations of our people." The statement of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria read:

"Since the fall of the Baathist regime in Syria, the Syrian people in general, with all their components, have been looking forward to building a unified Syria for all Syrians without exclusion or marginalization. Perhaps the National Conference was one of the demands of the Syrian people to achieve the goals of their revolution that has been going on for more than 14 years. Since the beginning of the fall of the defunct regime, all Syrians have been discussing and looking forward to the Syrian National Conference and to the practical steps for the state-building phase.

However, these steps taken by the interim government in Syria, regarding the issue of dialogue and partnership, were disappointing. From the beginning, it was necessary to form an integrated committee to prepare for this dialogue and prepare for it, and then discuss the representation of those who will attend it, and after that a comprehensive national dialogue conference would be held, but everything that happened - and is happening now - is far from what the Syrians aspired to and aspire to For him.

The committee that was formed to prepare for the conference does not represent the components of the Syrian people, even their statements were far from the language of dialogue and bringing viewpoints closer together, and thus, a series of meetings were held in a number of Syrian provinces, under the name of preparing for the national dialogue, but these meetings were nothing but an embodiment of the policies that the Syrian people struggled to eliminate.

Today, following those meetings in which the true representatives of the people did not participate, and it was clear that they were closer to exclusion and marginalization, and did not take into account the mosaic of the Syrian people, a conference is being held in the capital Damascus, which was named the National Dialogue.

We, in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, at a time when we were and still are emphasizing that the Syrian people are capable of healing their wounds and building a pluralistic democratic Syria through a true national dialogue between the components and spectrums of the Syrian people, declare that this conference does not represent the Syrian people, and we, as part of Syria, and we were not represented, have reservations about this conference in form and content, and we will not be part of implementing its outcomes.

We also say, once again, that our first and last goal, as Syrians, since the beginning of the Syrian revolution, is to liberate Syrian society from injustice, aggression, and policies of exclusion and marginalization.

We have had important initiatives in this context, and today we also renew our demands for a real national dialogue conference to be held, representing all Syrians, and not excluding or marginalizing anyone.

We call upon our Syrian people that we will continue our work to achieve the goals of our revolution, to be worthy of the sacrifices we have made, to achieve the hopes and aspirations of our people.
