Contradiction in al-Shibani’s statements regarding March 10 Agreement

The Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Transitional Government of Syria, As'ad Al-Shibani, contradicted himself during statements made at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan. He accused the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) of being "not serious" in implementing the March 10 Agreement, while simultaneously stating that the "Ministry of Defense had received the SDF's response on the integration file and is currently studying it."

Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Syrian Transitional Government, As'ad al-Shibani, made contradictory statements regarding the commitment of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to the integration process during a press conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

A Turkish delegation, including Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, and National Intelligence Agency Head Hakan Fidan, visited the Syrian capital Damascus today. They were received by Transitional Government Prime Minister Ahmed al-Shar'a at the "People's Palace."

During the press conference, regarding the March 10 Agreement, al-Shibani claimed that the agreement reflects Syria’s will to unite its territories, adding that they "did not observe any real will" from the Syrian Democratic Forces.

He accused the SDF of being "not serious" about implementing the March 10 Agreement, yet also revealed that the Transitional Government had received the SDF’s response to the integration file just the day before, and that the Ministry of Defense is currently reviewing it.
