"committee must take serious steps to meet with Leader Abdullah Ocalan"

The people of Kobani spoke to ANHA agency about the obstacles preventing the “Committee for National Solidarity, Fraternity, and Democracy” from meeting with Abdullah Ocalan.

Citizen Sharvan Muslim noted that Turkish officials initially welcomed the peace process, saying:
"But now, there are internal disagreements between the Justice and Development Party (AKP) and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), which aim to weaken and obstruct the work of the committee tasked with meeting Abdullah Ocalan. They do not want peace in the world, and so they hinder the committee's work. Internal issues must be resolved. So far, only the delegation from the Equality and Democracy of Peoples Party and his lawyers have met with him this is not enough. The government and parliament must take tangible and serious steps to save the people from war and massacres."

"Strengthen Your Resolve and Commitment to Peace"

Sharvan Muslim expressed hope for the success of the peace process and insisted on determination, adding:
"We believe in this initiative. Even if other parties do not take serious steps, we will resist for peace with all our strength and ensure this process succeeds. The key to the solution lies in İmralı. We will strengthen our power, determination, and will, until the physical freedom of the leader is achieved."

In a separate comment, Hassan Abdo spoke about Abdullah Ocalan's call for peace and a democratic society, saying:
"The Turkish state is still hesitant and has not taken any serious steps within the framework of the peace process. Nor has it allowed the committee to take necessary action. Those who prevent meetings with the leader are actively violating the rights of the Kurdish people."

Abdo emphasized the need for the people to raise the level of resistance and strengthen their organization, especially in Northern and Western Kurdistan (Rojava), continuing:
"Leader Abdullah Ocalan issued a call for peace and a democratic society on February 27, aiming to achieve security and end the war. But those who disrupted previous peace efforts are trying once again to derail and sabotage this process. The Turkish parliament must take serious action it is already late and has not taken any real steps. Its performance has been weak."

Akeed Nassro stressed the urgent need for the Turkish parliamentary committee to meet with Abdullah Ocalan, stating:
"In his latest 'Manifesto for Peace and a Democratic Society', leader Abdullah Ocalan clearly outlined all the pathways to peace and democratic coexistence. Everyone should read and engage with his ideas as a basis for peace and resolution."

Nasro pointed out that the Turkish state is linking the peace process to ongoing issues in Syria and is violating the rights of the Kurdish people, saying:
"It appears that the committee is avoiding real, direct meetings with leader Abdullah Ocalan. These meetings must be held swiftly and with confidence."

He concluded:
