Child killed by Iranian authorities
A Kurdish child was killed and his teacher was seriously injured after their car was shot at by Iranian authorities in a village near the city of Rask in Sistan and Baluchestan province.
Iranian security forces opened fire on a car carrying a child and his teacher in the village of Jakiguri, near the city of Rask in Sistan and Baluchestan province, resulting in the death of 12-year-old Ihsan Askani and serious injuries to his teacher, Salman Askani, according to media reports.
Teacher Salman Askani was transferred to the hospital for treatment, and the media has not published any information about his health status yet.
Human rights organizations have called for an independent and comprehensive investigation into the incident and for accountability for those responsible for these violent actions, considering the incident part of the repression faced by Kurds in Iran since the beginning of the year.
