A seven-year-old child was killed by a cluster bomb explosion, a remnant of war, east of Khan Sheikhoun in rural Idlib.

A seven-year-old child was killed by a cluster bomb, a remnant of war, in the town of Sukayk, east of Khan Sheikhoun in the southern countryside of Idlib, amid the continued threat of unexploded ordnance to civilians, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The Observatory also reported that the number of civilians killed since the beginning of 2026 by unexploded ordnance from the Syrian war has risen to 73, including 19 children and 7 women, in addition to the injury of 57 people, among them 34 men, 19 children, and 4 women.
