The torture and genocide regime is being applied against Leader Abdullah Ocalan on Imrali Island, in front of the eyes and ears of the world, human rights organizations and political parties, in a position that contradicts international laws that demand human rights and the preservation of human dignity.

The people of Çel Ağa in the Jazira canton condemned the shameful international positions; Citizen Saleh Ibrahim said: “Leader Abdullah Ocalan, according to international laws and norms, is a political prisoner and has rights, but the Turkish state continues its approach of facilitating the system of genocide and torture against him, amidst shameful silence and deliberate inaction by international and human rights organizations, especially the Committee Against Torture.”

Saleh Ibrahim held political parties and human rights activists responsible for the continued torture and genocide against Leader Abdullah Ocalan. He said: “There are more than thirty parties in the northeastern region of Syria alone, in addition to many parties in other parts of Kurdistan, but they do not play their real role in their struggle for the cause of Leader Ocalan and to lift the system of torture and genocide from him. The reason is that they are preoccupied with internal disputes and do not unify their position on the issue of the leader, and we hold them responsible.”

Saleh addressed a message to the political parties, blocs, politicians and human rights activists, stressing the need for them to play their role in demanding an end to torture against Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and to take serious steps to achieve his physical freedom.

He explained: "We, the people, are struggling in the squares for his freedom, and these parties must convey the voice of our struggle to the world, as we declare that Leader Ocalan is our voice and his freedom is our basic demand."

For his part, citizen Hussein Issa said: "The leader of the philosophy of the democratic and humane nation, Abdullah Ocalan, is being subjected to the most heinous practices in Imrali prison, amid the inaction and silence of international and human rights parties that claim to defend human rights, but their laws are only ink on paper." Hussein held the political parties and human rights activists, especially the Kurds, responsible, due to their lack of a strong political position that leads to tangible results.

He explained that "if there had been an echo of a unified political position from all parties and a strong study of the issue of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, he would not have lived in the conditions of the genocide and torture regime until now." Hussein also called for "the necessity of unifying political positions on the issue of the leader and leaving internal differences, noting that the voice of the people alone is not enough, and they must work according to the oath they pledged to support the oppressed."

Fatima Mishaan agreed with Saleh Ibrahim and Hussein Issa, regarding the failure of politicians and parties to take effective steps to achieve the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and held them responsible for the continued existence of the leader in torture conditions until now in Imrali.

Fatima called for "the necessity of having a unified political decision on the issue of the leader, stressing the importance of forming a committee from all parties whose mission is to fight for Ocalan's freedom and organize activities to demand his freedom.

She concluded by saying: "Leader Ocalan is the leader of all humanity, and whoever claims to fight for the peoples must start by achieving the freedom of the peoples' voice."
