Adham Barzani questions the credibility of results of elections in S.Kurdistan

The politician and former member of the leadership of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Adham Barzani, questioned the integrity of the elections in the federal region of Southern Kurdistan, and stressed, "I fear that the announced results do not match the real voice of the voters."

Adham Barzani said in a press statement: "I have been closely observing the electoral process without participating in it or supporting any party, and as I have long experience extending to 47 years in the political field, I see that there are great doubts about the final results of these elections."

He stressed that "these doubts are not only related to the electoral process, but also include doubts about the general integrity of the electoral process at the level of Iraq and the entire Middle East."

He added: "I fear that the announced results do not match the real voice of the voters, and that there is a possibility of political interference or fraud in some areas."
