Al-Qouria, with over 80,000 residents, is experiencing a sharp decline in security, with almost no effective law enforcement.

In recent weeks, crimes and disorder have increased, including daily fights, random shootings in residential neighborhoods, and a notable rise in drug trafficking, according to locals.

Dangerous Incidents Increasing

The security breakdown has led to dangerous incidents affecting civilians and their property.

The latest occurred early today when Yusuf Ali Al-Mohammad Al-Haj’s car was targeted with a sound grenade.

Despite the deteriorating situation, the city has only a small police station with limited personnel and equipment, leaving Al-Qouria vulnerable to escalating instability that could threaten the wider region.
