Bodies of 76 Syrians killed in Lebanon enter Syria

Official sources affiliated with the interim government said that the bodies of 76 Syrian citizens residing in Lebanon, who were killed during the recent war between Israel and Hezbollah, have entered Syria.

Mazen Alloush, Director of Public Relations at the General Authority for Border Crossings and Customs affiliated with the interim government, announced that the bodies of 76 Syrian citizens residing in Lebanon crossed into Syria via the Syrian-Lebanese border after they were killed as a result of the war between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah since last March.

Alloush said in a statement to SANA news agency that a total of 180 bodies have entered through the Syrian-Lebanese border since last March, including 76 bodies of Syrians killed due to Israeli bombardment of Lebanon. Of these, 37 bodies entered through the Jdeidet Yabous crossing, while 39 entered through the Jousieh crossing.

Israel has launched intensive attacks in recent weeks on Lebanese territory as a result of Hezbollah’s involvement in the ongoing war between Israel and the United States on one side, and Iran on the other. Hezbollah says it is confronting Israeli attempts to occupy Lebanese land.
