Autonomous Administration hands over two Saudi girls to their family

The Autonomous Administration has handed over two Saudi girls to their family after they spent several years at the Child Protection Center affiliated with the Women's Authority.

Under the supervision and patronage of Hasakah Governor Engineer Nour al-Din Ahmed, the Autonomous Administration on Wednesday handed over two Saudi nationals, Dana Ibrahim Ibrahim and Lana Ibrahim Ibrahim, to their family after years of residing at the Child Protection Center run by the Women's Authority of the Autonomous Administration.

The two girls lost their parents during the battles against ISIS in 2019. Since then, the relevant institutions of the Autonomous Administration have provided them with care and protection as part of humanitarian efforts aimed at ensuring a safe environment for children affected by conflict.

The handover ceremony was attended by Dr. Jiyan Hassan, advisor to the Autonomous Administration, along with representatives of the concerned institutions. The humanitarian step aims to reunite the two girls with their family and reflects the level of coordination and cooperation among relevant bodies to ensure the return of children to their relatives while reinforcing the principles of humanitarian care and protection.
