Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese stated that Australia’s recognition aims to rekindle momentum for the two-state solution, starting with a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages. He emphasized that Hamas should have no role in Palestine.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney confirmed Canada’s recognition, highlighting a commitment to work in partnership toward a peaceful and promising future for both Palestine and Israel.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced the UK's recognition in a video statement on “X” (formerly Twitter), affirming the country’s dedication to reviving hopes for peace and the two-state solution. Starmer also mentioned plans to impose sanctions on additional Hamas figures and warned that although hope for the two-state solution is fading, it must not be extinguished.

Previously, Starmer had pledged in July to recognize Palestine by the UN General Assembly if Israel did not take substantial steps toward a Gaza ceasefire.
