A maritime services agency reported on Thursday that three oil tankers were attacked by drones near the Turkish coast, north of Sinop province on the Black Sea.

According to the agency, the targeted tankers are subject to Western sanctions as they are part of the "shadow fleet" used by Moscow to export oil and circumvent sanctions imposed on it due to the war in Ukraine.

The agency confirmed that there were no injuries among the crews. No party has claimed responsibility for the attacks, but Ukraine has previously targeted Russian-linked tankers in the Black Sea in recent months.
