Armed attack in rural Deir-ez-Zor against Internal forces, leaving 3 hurt

North and East Syria Media Center Internal Security Forces issued a statement today regarding the armed men who had attacked one of their vehicles in Deir ez-Zor countryside. The statement read as follows:

"Today, 1:30 PM, Tuesday, 5th of August, a terrorist group riding a motorcycle ambushed a car of our troops in Abreha town of Deir ez-Zor Province with a Kalashnikov assault rifle. Three of our troops were wounded with various injuries.".

Following the terrorist attack, our forces mobilized, set up combined patrols, and moved to the attacked site. They began wholesale sweeps of the area for the perpetrators, trying to determine their identities and bring them to justice.

We, the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria, assure our citizens in North and East Syria and Deir ez-Zor that we will continue to do our work to assure security and stability and that we will not. These terrorist acts will never discourage us from chasing anyone who is bold enough to endanger the security of our region and the safety of our citizens.
