Poet Kawa Dêrik has chronicled the Kurdish cause and the sacrifices of martyrs in more than 300 poems, describing poetry as a means of preserving national memory, conveying the suffering of peoples, and defending the values of freedom. (Photos and video attached).

Residents of Hasakah continue to complain about the reduction of electricity generator operating hours to six hours a day, saying outages on some days have worsened their suffering. Hawar Help (V.Ê Help HÁWAR) is preparing to hold its first exhibition in Rojava, titled "Archive of the Yazidi Community," in Qamishlo on 12 August. The exhibition aims to document the collective memory of the Yazidi community and preserve its cultural heritage through photographs, testimonies and narratives reflecting Yazidi life and resilience in the face of genocide and displacement.
