American, Israeli strikes on Syrian territory killing dozen

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced, "The US Air Force raided an arms depot linked to Iran in eastern Syria on Wednesday."

For its part, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights( SOHR) said that the raid targeted a facility in the city of Deir ez-Zor in eastern Syria, killing 9 people.

 “The strike was carried out by two American F-15 aircraft against a weapons storage facility.”Austin said in a statement.

"Israel launched an air attack on military sites in southern Syria, which led to some material losses." A military source in the Damascus government forces also said on Wednesday.

The source noted that the missiles that flew over Baalbek in Lebanon targeted several sites, without specifying them.

SOHR said that the Israeli strikes directly targeted military points of the Damascus government forces, “including an air defense battalion and a radar in the areas of Tal Qalib and Tal al-Masih in Suwayda.”

This coincided with a targeting of the vicinity of Damascus, where at least 3 explosions sounded in the vicinity of the capital, Damascus, as a result of Israeli bombing of the vicinity of the town of Aqraba, which includes a military airport area, more than 10 kilometers west of Damascus International Airport, and farms located between the two areas of Sayyida Zeinab - Aqraba, which includes the Lebanese Hezbollah, southwest of the Damascus countryside, led to killing 3 members of Hezbollah and wounding others of unknown identity and nationality, as a preliminary toll.

Worth to note that Israel has dramatically escalated its ground and air strikes on Syria since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas, and the strikes resulted in the Damascus and Aleppo international airports being out of service several times.
