Alouk water reaches Tel Tamer

Water from the Alouk station reached the city of Tel Tamr today as the trial pumping phase began—marking the first step toward resuming drinking water supplies after seven years of frequent interruptions—following the completion of maintenance and rehabilitation work at the facility.

Water authority teams have begun monitoring water arrival and network pressure while conducting technical tests to ensure the integrity of transmission lines and verify the absence of faults or leaks, paving the way for full-scale operation and regular supply to the beneficiary neighborhoods and towns.

The Alouk station serves as the primary source of drinking water for the cities of Tel Tamr and Hasaka, as well as the Al-Hol area. Its operation is expected to help alleviate the water crisis residents have endured in recent years and reduce reliance on wells and water tankers as alternative sources.

The trial pumping phase is expected to continue over the coming days, with full operation of the station commencing once technical tests are concluded and the stability of the pumping system is confirmed.
