The residents of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in Aleppo city, along with the displaced from Afrin, expressed their wish to meet leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Hifa Mohammed, a displaced person from Afrin city, occupied by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries, explained that she participated in the "I Want to Meet Abdullah" campaign through a message in which she expressed pride in the leader’s contributions toward the liberation of society and women.

She said "I wrote my message to express my gratitude for his presence and resistance; this is the least we can do in our pursuit of achieving his physical freedom."

She added: "Without his ideas, we would not know our cause and our rights. Therefore, we must be worthy of his trust by translating his ideas into practical steps to build a democratic society."

She emphasized that "his ideas and contributions to reshaping history and building a democratic society have made him the ‘Savior of the Era and the Historian of Resistance,’ despite the crises and challenges the region is going through."

Meanwhile, the displaced person, Sevana Osman, explained that although she has never met leader Abdullah Ocalan, her reading of his ideas and exposure to his call for "peace and democratic society" have made her wish to meet him.

She added: "His ideas rescue societies from the chaos of modernity and direct them towards peace. We are responsible for making this approach succeed, just as he struggled for the freedom of peoples."

For his part, citizen Jamal Ajaj affirmed his absolute faith in the ideas of leader Abdullah Ocalan and his ability to achieve peace and resolve outstanding issues in the Middle East.

He pointed out that the "Manifesto of Peace and Democratic Society," issued by leader Abdullah Ocalan, is a comprehensive document that explains the nature of the universe and humanity, and proposes solutions to major issues, foremost among them the Kurdish issue, which strengthens our desire to meet him.

It is noteworthy that the European Forum for Freedom and Peace launched an international campaign titled "I Want to Meet Abdullah Ocalan" on June 5, in which thousands of Kurds and their friends around the world writers, thinkers, authors, intellectuals, and artists participated to demand his physical freedom.
