Aleppo Notables affirm support for SDF, call for free, democratic society
Today, the dignitaries of Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods and the religious institution in Aleppo issued a joint statement, affirming their support for the Syrian Democratic Forces.
The statement was made on behalf of the Committee of Notables of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods and the Religious Foundation in Aleppo, and read by the administrator of the Religious Foundation, Sheikh Ali Al-Hassan, in the Martyrs' Square located in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.
The statement stressed that the people, young and old, women and children, have clearly and explicitly declared their standing alongside their forces, and offering their most precious and valuable things to defend their land and the gains of the revolution.
The statement also considered that "what is happening today of blatant and brutal aggression on the villages of Deir ez-Zor is unacceptable and led to the martyrdom of dozens of civilians, including women, elderly people and children, in addition to the destruction of people homes.
" Those who defeated and eliminated the most powerful terrorist organization in the world will not be defeated by some hired mercenaries like you."
The statement concluded by stressing the need to move forward in building a free, democratic society that is characterized by security, safety, love and peace.
