Al-Tanf base is targeted for 2nd time in less than a week

American forces shot down a drone that attacked the Al-Tanf base located on the Triangle border, in an attack that is the second of its kind in less than a week.

This afternoon, American forces shot down a drone that attacked the Al-Tanf base, located on the border triangle between Syria - Iraq - Jordan, according to SHOR.

SOHR said that the American forces were able to shoot down the drone a long distance from the base, and this attack coincided with another attack carried out by two drones that attempted to attack a base belonging to the American forces on the Jordanian border, about 4 km east of the Rukban Camp, and the forces were able to shoot them down also at a distance. 3 km from the camp.

No information has been received yet about the source of these UAVs.

This is the second attack of its kind within 5 days.

On October 19, 3 drones attacked the Al-Tanf base of the international coalition forces. The attack led to two drones being shot down, while one targeted the base, causing material damage and wounding two coalition forces.

SOHR indicated this morning that the coalition forces have continued to be on alert within the Al-Tanf base, for about 5 days, by raising maximum readiness, intensifying shifts, and monitoring the base’s surroundings in anticipation of any new attack on it.
