Al-Hol residents appreciate DAA's role in receiving arrivals from Lebanon

The residents of al-Hol city in al-Jazira canton in the North and East Syria region appreciated the role of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in receiving Syrians and Lebanese arriving from Lebanon against the backdrop of the military escalation that has been taking place since September 23, and confirmed their readiness to receive the arrivals in their homes.

Since the military escalation began in Lebanon between Israel and Hezbollah, Lebanon has begun to witness a displacement movement of Syrians and Lebanese alike towards Syria.

Accordingly, the Autonomous Administration representation in Lebanon began helping Syrians return to their country, and the Autonomous Administration in the North and East Syria region formed a Crisis Cell specialized in the affairs of those arriving from Lebanon.

According to the latest statistics of the crisis cell, the number of arrivals to North and East Syria until October 17 reached 19,754 people, including 76 holding Lebanese citizenship and 19 corpses.

The Kurdish Red Crescent also began setting up tents in all areas of the North and East Syria region to receive material and in-kind assistance for those arriving from Lebanon.

In this context, the people of al-Hol city appreciated the efforts made by the Autonomous Administration to receive the arrivals and provide them with assistance in light of what the people in Lebanon are exposed to.

The teacher Musa al-Wakaa stressed that the people of al-Hol city and the North and East Syria region stand together to support the refugees from Lebanon in light of what their country is going through, and said: "We are ready to receive the Lebanese refugees and the Syrian returnees in our areas and homes and to do our duty towards them."

He pointed out that the people of North and East Syria welcome all the arrivals with open hearts, and everyone's homes are open to their Syrian and Lebanese families alike.

Al-Wakaa thanked the Autonomous Administration for its initiative to receive the arrivals from Lebanon and help them in every way.

For her part, citizen Jamila Al-Ahmad indicated that the people of al-Hol are ready to provide assistance as much as possible to the Syrian and Lebanese arrivals.

"We, the people of North and East Syria, are ready to provide assistance and meet the needs of our people returning from Lebanon and host them in our homes and cities," she concluded.
