Aid collection point in Al-Hol to support IDPs of Afrin and Aleppo

As families continue to arrive, including 400 displaced families who were stranded in Shahba since December 1st, campaigns to support the displaced are ongoing in various cities and towns.

In this context, a support tent was erected in Al-Hol city by the city council in collaboration with the communes and local residents.

Since its opening, the tent has witnessed a significant turnout from residents, who provided diverse support, including clothing, furniture, food, and other essentials to meet the needs of forcibly displaced people who were forced to leave their homes due to attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

Ahmed Abdo, the co-chair of the Al-Hol City Council, emphasized that the tent aims to alleviate the suffering of the displaced and meet their basic needs. He noted that the council is ready to receive all forms of support that could benefit the displaced.

He added: "We opened this tent to support our displaced people from Afrin and Shahba, who are living under harsh conditions after losing their homes and lands. We call on the people of Al-Hol and surrounding rural areas to contribute to this humanitarian effort, especially with the onset of winter and falling temperatures."

The residents of Al-Hol city affirmed their commitment to supporting this initiative with everything they can, expressing their humanitarian duty toward the displaced and stressing the importance of solidarity in such circumstances.

In this regard, one donor said: "This is the least we can offer to our people who are suffering from the cold and winter. We will continue to provide support by donating the materials they need."
