At least 9 women and young women, including minors, were kidnapped in different areas of Syria during the first half of February, according to the SOHR.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights revealed an increase in the number of women kidnapped in Syria, raising growing concerns about the safety and security of women in the country.

The SOHR stated that at least 9 women, including minors, were kidnapped in several Syrian cities since the beginning of February until now, amid the absence of any official information about their fate.

The majority of kidnappings were concentrated in Homs and Damascus, according to the Syrian Observatory, which published the following tally of these cases:

· February 1, a young woman was kidnapped from the countryside of Jableh while heading to the city, and another young woman was kidnapped from Safita on the same day.

· February 2, a young woman from Jaramana in the countryside of Damascus went missing while heading to Damascus University.

· February 3, a minor girl went missing in the countryside of Homs, and another young woman was kidnapped on the same day from the Nayrab camp in Aleppo.

· February 4, a woman from the village of Jabourin in the city of Homs went missing.

· February 8, contact with a young woman from Homs was lost.

· February 13, a student was kidnapped after leaving the university towards Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Damascus.

· February 15, a Palestinian student was kidnapped while registering for her ninth grade certificate, as her family reported that her kidnappers demanded a ransom in exchange for her release.
