The eighth convoy of displaced Afrin residents arrived earlier today in their hometowns and villages as part of the implementation of the January 29 agreement signed between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Interim Government, which provides for facilitating the return of IDPs to their homes.

The convoy included around 1,700 displaced families who had been residing in the cities of Qamishlo, Derik , and Girkê Legê. The group departed at dawn from Martyr Yusuf Kalo Roundabout in Qamishli and headed toward Afrin.

This marks the eighth return convoy organized from al-Jazira and Kobani regions, following seven previous convoys dispatched during March, April, and May, through which thousands of displaced residents returned to Afrin and its surrounding districts.
