6 Turkish mercenaries killed during qualitative operation by YPJ

The Media Center of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) issued a written statement on this subject on its official website. The statement reported that the units carried out a raid on the headquarters of the Turkish occupation army in the village of Sheikh Nasser in the city of Manbij on March 3.

The statement reads:

“Our units were implemented; During the night hours of March 3, the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) stormed the headquarters of the Turkish occupation army on the Sayada front lines in the village of Sheikh Nasser in the city of Manbij, and directed painful strikes at the Turkish occupation.

Our fighters professionally stormed the occupiers’ headquarters. They began attacking the enemy with medium weapons, then attacked them with individual weapons at a distance of only 20 metres. After that, our fighters entered the headquarters, destroyed quantities of ammunition, and seized other quantities.

This operation resulted in the killing of 6 mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state, and the destruction of the occupation army headquarters and burning it completely, in addition to the destruction of a Dushka 12.5 weapon, and the seizure of two Kalashnikov weapons, a pistol, a wireless device, a mobile phone and the identities of the Turkish mercenaries, the fire that broke out at the headquarters also caused a huge explosion, but we were not able to learn more information about its results.

After the operation ended, our fighters withdrew safely.

This operation was carried out in remembrance of the prominent female leaders who were martyred at the hands of the Turkish occupation state. We are determined to continue the path of victory, and we will not leave any attack on the pioneers, the homeland and the achievements of the women’s revolution in Rojava unrespoed.”
