QAMISHLO

The Kurdish Red Crescent distributed 500 food baskets today, provided by the Kurdish American Center, to 500 displaced families from Afrin and Ras al-Ayn residing in Qamishlo

The distribution was carried out in coordination with the Afrin and Shahba Affairs Council and neighborhood committees. The baskets were distributed to 200 families in the Qadurbek neighborhood and 300 families in the Arbuwiya neighborhood of Qamishlo.

Those overseeing the distribution emphasized that this initiative is part of the ongoing support provided by Kurdish communities abroad to their families in Rojava, particularly those displaced and facing difficult living conditions.

Qamishlo has been witnessing continuous humanitarian aid distribution campaigns for displaced people, provided by numerous Kurdish organizations, institutions, and charities, in addition to individual initiatives launched by Kurdish expatriates to support affected families.

In the same context, mobile medical clinics continue their work within shelters and neighborhoods where displaced people reside, to provide health services and basic medical care.
