4 Kurdish young men executed in Iran

The Iranian authorities executed 4 Kurdish young men from eastern Kurdistan, bringing the number of those executed since the beginning of the year to 24 Kurds.

The Iranian judiciary website published news of the execution of 4 Kurdish young men from eastern Kurdistan this morning, It described their charges as “political.”

The same source mentioned the names of the young men and the areas from which the four hail: “Mohammed Faramarzi, 25 years old, from Snna Governorate, Wafa Azharbar, 26 years old, from Bukan Governorate, Mohsen Mazloum, 27 years old, from Mahabad Governorate, and Pejman Fatehi, 29 years old, from Kamiran Governorate.”

The four young men have been imprisoned in the Iranian authorities' prison, "Qazalhasari", in the city of Karaj, of Albarz Governorate, for 19 months.

According to human rights documents, the Iranian authorities have executed 20 Kurdish citizens since the beginning of this year, the most recent of which was the execution of Muhammad Qubadlo, one of the protesters who participated in the “Women, Life, Freedom” uprising during the year 2022.
