4 Kurdish protesters killed in Ilam, young woman in Farsan by Iranian forces

The Human Rights Network in East Kurdistan reported the killing of four Kurdish protesters and injury of others in the city of Malekshahi, Ilam province, during clashes with Iranian Revolutionary Guard Forces.

According to a report issued by the network, the deceased are Reza Azimzadeh, Fares Agha Mohamedi, Mohamed Bazuna, and Mehdi Emami Bor, while at least 30 others sustained injuries of varying severity.

The report indicated that the injured were transferred to hospitals in Malekshahi and Ilam, where medical staff declared a state of emergency, emphasizing an urgent need for blood transfusions and specialized medical care.

Malekshahi witnessed a heavy security presence, with Revolutionary Guard special forces stationed near hospitals. The report added that attempts by some security forces to enter hospitals and arrest the injured were met with resistance from residents and healthcare workers.

Meanwhile, Iranian news agencies reported that protesters attacked government buildings in Malekshahi, leading to clashes that resulted in the death of one security officer and injury of two protesters.

In a related context, Iranian forces opened fire on activists in the Farsan region, resulting in the death of the young woman Sager Etemadi.
