30 citizens kidnapped during May in occupied Afrin

The Violations Documentation Center documented by names the kidnapping of 30 citizens in occupied Afrin during the current month of May, as this coincides with the transfer of a number of kidnapped persons to the Turkish prisons.

 The following is the text of the center’s statistics. :

"May 1, 2024:

The mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) kidnapped 3 citizens, “Fawzi Mustafa Hussein, Rashid Sido Colin, and Imad Habash” in the districts of Janders and Al-Mabatli in the Afrin countryside, and took them to an unknown destination.

The mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) kidnapped the citizen “Subhi Hamo bin Jamil,” 36 years old, a resident of the village of Basoufan in the Sherwa district in the Afrin countryside, and took him to an unknown destination.

The mercenaries of the National Army (112th Brigade) kidnapped the citizen “Imad Habash,” aged (42), a resident of a village belonging to a district in the Afrin countryside, and took him to an unknown destination.

The mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) kidnapped the citizens “Ahmed Abdo” (42 years old) and “Mohammed Saleh Hassan” (35 years old), who are residents of the village of Ain Hajar Baadin in Al-Mabatli district in the Afrin countryside, and were taken to an unknown destination.

The mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) kidnapped the citizens “Hassan Mannan” (41 years old) and “Muhammad Saleh” (30 years old) from Rajo district in the Afrin countryside and were taken to an unknown destination.

The mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) kidnapped the citizen “Muhammad Adel Muhammad,” aged (37), a resident of the town of Maidanki in the Afrin countryside, and took him to an unknown destination.

The mercenaries of the National Army kidnapped the citizen Khalil Anwar Hassan (36 years old), from the village of Dikmdash in the Sharan district in the Afrin countryside, at their checkpoint set up at the entrance to the village of Sajo towards Azaz, and they took him to an unknown destination. Khalil was previously kidnapped in early 2019 by the Levant Front militia and was released after paying a ransom.

The mercenaries of the National Army kidnapped the young man (Sultan Murad), “Muhammad Bakr Nouri,” born in 1989, from the village of “Alkana” in the Sheikh Al-Hadid district. He is a resident of the Al-Zaidiyah neighborhood in the city of Afrin while returning to his home in Afrin.

May 2, 2024:

The mercenaries of the National Army (Sultan Murad) kidnapped the 27-year-old citizen “Ahmed Naasan” in Afrin and took him to an unknown destination.

The mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) kidnapped the citizen “Izzat Ismail Bilal Shasho,” from the Rajo area in the Afrin countryside, and took him to an unknown destination.

May 6, 2024:

The mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) kidnapped the citizen “Muhammad Muhammad Barakat,” 46 years old, from the village of “Kokaniyeh” in the Al-Mabatli district and took him to an unknown destination.

The mercenaries of the National Army (Sham Legion) kidnapped the citizen, “Rizan Bozan Hassan (20), a resident of the village of “Kusanli” in the Rajo district, and was taken to an unknown location.

May 8, 2024:

The mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) kidnapped the citizen “Ahmed Attar,” 39 years old, a resident of the town of Bulbul in the Afrin countryside, and took him to an unknown destination.

The mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) kidnapped the citizen “Muhammad Muhammad Mustafa,” aged (38), in the Afrin countryside and took him to an unknown destination.

May 13, 2024:

The mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) kidnapped the citizen “Omar Hassan Sheikho,” aged (42), from the village of Qatma in the Sharan district in the Afrin countryside, and took him to an unknown destination.

May 15, 2024:

National Army mercenaries kidnapped the citizen, Rashid Muhammad Aisho (60 years old), from his home in the village of Tal Salour in Janders in Afrin, and he was taken to an unknown destination. They also kidnapped citizens Abdo Sheikho (46 years old) and Nazmi Hamo (42 years old).

May 18, 2025

National Army mercenaries kidnapped the citizen, Reber Rashid Ali, 37 years old, as he passed through the security checkpoint at the entrance to the city of Janders, in the Afrin countryside, and took him to an unknown location.

May 20, 2024

The National Army mercenaries kidnapped  the citizens Faiq Ismail and Ismail Suleiman Bilal in the village of Sheikh Muhammadli in Rajo district in Afrin countryside and took them to an unknown destination.

May 23, 2024:

The mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police), at the checkpoint of the village of Kafr Janna kidnapped the two children: Maher Jassim Al-Hassan (17 years old) and Omar Mubarak Al-Hassan (15 years old) for the purpose of collecting the financial ransom in exchange for their release, and they were taken to an unknown destination.

May 24, 2024

The mercenaries of the National Army / “Sultan Murad” kidnapped the citizen Mohieddin Muhammad, 41 years old, from the village of Kobek in the Mabata district of Afrin, and their car was confiscated due to his demand for his house seized by a leader in the Sultan Murad militia.

May 26, 2024

The mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) kidnapped the citizens Hussein Othman, 38 years old, and Muhammad Ali Bakr, 43 years old, in the Ashrafieh neighborhood in the center of the city of Afrin, and they were taken to an unknown destination. They are both residents of Yalanqur village in Janders district.

The mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) kidnapped the Kurdish citizen, “Zaim Hussein Horo” (64 years old), from his home in the Ashrafieh neighborhood in the city of Afrin, and he was taken to an unknown destination.
