28 of Damascus forces killed by ISIS cells in Homs, Deir ez-Zor

Two separate attacks carried out by ISIS mercenary cells in both the Homs and Deir ez-Zor countryside, targeting members of the Damascus government forces, caused the death of 28.

22 people were killed, most of them from the Russian-backed "Liwaa al-Quds" group, as a result of a violent attack launched by ISIS mercenary cells with heavy and medium weapons, targeting a military a military bus of Damascus government forces near the village of Taybeh in the eastern countryside of Homs.

The death toll from Damascus government forces also rose to 6 in an attack carried out by ISIS mercenaries on headquarters of Damascus government forces in the village of Hasrat in the countryside of the city of Albukamal, east of Deir ez-Zor, in addition to the capture of two members, according to SOHR.

The death toll during military operations within the Syrian desert, according to Observatory documents, has reached 329 people since the beginning of the year. Most of these operations were distributed in the desert of Deir ez-Zor, Homs, and Raqqa.
