268 sites hit by Turkish occupation during 2 years

 The first air strikes launched by the Turkish warplanes on infrastructure began after midnight on November 19-20, 2022, targeting an electricity substation in the village of Taqel Baqel in the Derik in addition to bombing the municipalities of Zarghan, Girê Spi, Kobani and Shahba.

These attacks resulted in the martyrdom of 11 citizens, and ANHA agency’s correspondent, Essam Abdullah, Six citizens and a Stêrk TV reporter were injured, while 14 members of the Damascus government forces losing their lives and 12 others injured.

The Turkish occupation army launched a violent bombardment on NE Syria, which continued for 5 continuous days, causing massive destruction, during which it targeted vital installations, medical points, and service and educational facilities, including the main “Al-Suwaidiya” electricity generating station.

On October 4 of this year, the Turkish occupation state escalated its ground and air attacks, directly targeting infrastructure, including energy and water facilities, power plants, and oil wells, over a period of 7 continuous days.

The Turkish attacks caused losses to the infrastructure of NE Syria, and according to a report prepared by ANHA agency earlier, the losses exceeded one billion US dollars.

Its attacks on oil facilities, gas plants, and electricity generation also caused a decline in the revenues of the public treasury of the Autonomous Administration by $540 million over the next six months, in addition to depriving 2 million and 150 thousand people of electricity.

The Autonomous Administration revealed that the Turkish occupation army struck 224 sites, through 304 air and ground strikes, including 221 artillery strikes, heavy weapons and mortar shells, and 83 strikes by military aircraft and drones, during the days (4-5-6-7-8). (9-10) October 2023, it affected power plants, oil facilities, industrial areas, and financial centers, in addition to targeting the vicinity of the Washukani and Roj camps, and dozens of villages, causing massive material damage.

The Autonomous Administration stated in its statistics that 47 people lost their lives, and 55 others were injured.

 The Autonomous Administration handed over a detailed file on the damage of the recent Turkish escalation and its ongoing attacks on NE region of Syria to several UN, international, human rights and legal bodies.

The Turkish escalation during October of this year came after a statement by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who said: “All infrastructure and superstructure facilities in Iraq and Syria, as well as energy points, have become legitimate targets.”

The Turkish occupation army renewed its bombing of vital and service facilities for the third time in a row last night, Saturday, as it bombed oil sites in the vicinity of Tirbespiyeh. It also targeted the plastics factory south of Tirbespiyeh.

The citizen Hussein Hamza Saadoun was injured in the Turkish bombing on Odeh station, and was transferred to hospitals in the city of Qamishlo.
