24 killed, wounded in shooting inside school in Maraş, North Kurdistan

4 people were killed and 20 others got wounded in a shooting inside a school in the city of Maraş in North Kurdistan.

Mesopotamia News Agency reported that a teacher and three students were killed, and 20 others were injured, in an attack carried out inside Ayser Celik School in Maraş city of North Kurdistan.

Police forces headed to the scene and launched an investigation, while the governor Maraş, Mukarram Ünlüer, stated that the shooting was indiscriminate, leaving killed and injured, and confirmed the casualty toll.

The Turkish Justice Minister Akın Gürlek announced that an investigation into the incident was opened, assigning three deputy prosecutors and four public prosecutors to the case, in addition to imposing a gag order.

This incident follows a similar attack took place on Tuesday in Siverek district of Urfa province in North Kurdistan, where a student carried out an armed attack inside the Ahmet Koyuncu Vocational High School, injuring four teachers, ten students, a police officer, and a school worker.
