Today, a local source reported to Roj News Agency that an explosion occurred inside the headquarters of the Border Guard forces in Hawler Governorate, southern Kurdistan.

The source said: “The accident resulted from the explosion of two mines inside the headquarters during training operations, which resulted in the deaths of two members.”

The Border Guard District Command confirmed in a statement that 2 members of the Border Guard forces were killed as a result of a mine explosion while they were trying to dismantle it, in addition to two others being seriously injured.
