DAA in Manbij celebrates 7th anniversary of its founding

Under the slogan “Despite the challenges, we will continue to build,” the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Manbij organized a celebration on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of its founding.

7 years since the establishment of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in Manbij, on this occasion, a celebration was organized today in the People’s Democratic Council hall in the center of the city of Manbij, in the presence of the co-chair of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of the North and East Syrian Region, Hussein Othman, and male and female members of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in the Manbij, Members of the Syrian Women’s Council, the Zenobia Women’s Council, democratic society organizations, internal security forces, political parties, and tribal sheikhs.

The celebration began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, then the co-chair of the Democratic Peoples’ Council in Manbij,  Muhammad Ali Al-Abbo, delivered a speech in which he said: “At the beginning of the establishment of the Administration, there were many challenges, but the people of the city of Manbij put the foundation stone of a new city in participating all components participate."

For his part, the leader of the Manbij Military Council, Khalil Qahraman, renewed his pledge to defend the City and said: “We in the Manbij Military Council renew our support and stand by the Democratic Autonomous Administration in Manbij, because it represents our people in Manbij."

In turn, the co-chair of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Hussein Othman, said: “Today we gather here for an important historical event, which is building the first democratic model in Manbij. Today we celebrate the building of a free democratic societal will."

The Arab Eagles, Al Salam, and Culture and Art Center bands presented artistic and singing performances.

The celebration concluded by honoring the former co-chair of the Executive Council, Nazifa Khalo, the former co-chair of the Executive Council, Muhammad Khair Al-Sheikho, and the former leadership of the Manbij Military Council, Abdul Rahman Al-Banawi, Sherfan Darwish, and Abu Adel.

 The Zenobia Women’s Gathering Council also honored the co-chair of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in Manbij, Anas Al-Ahmad, And the joint presidency of the People’s Democratic Council in Manbij.
