18 people, including Lebanese, killed in different parts of Syria

More than 18 people were killed in various circumstances in several areas of Syria in the past 24 hours, including a Lebanese citizen.

A Lebanese citizen, said to be the nephew of Lebanese MP Ghazi Zuaiter, was killed after being kidnapped from the village of Blouza in the Qasayr countryside, southwest of Homs, by unknown gunmen.

2 people from the village of Al-Mushrifah in the countryside of Homs were also killed by unknown gunmen, after they were kidnapped about 14 days ago while they were heading to the vegetable market (Al-Hal) by a freight car, in addition to the death of a young man after he was intercepted by a vehicle driven by unknown gunmen, while visiting his sister's house in the village of Al-Sindiana in the city's countryside.

Another person from the village of Al-Aziziyah in the western Hama countryside was killed as a result of being shot by masked gunmen riding motorcycles.

A young man was also killed after being targeted by direct bullets by gunmen riding a motorcycle in the Al-Aerican neighborhood of Latakia.

In the town of Abu Hardoub in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, one person was killed during family clashes between cousins as a result of disputes between them in which light weapons were used.

Victims of remnants of war

In a related context, 11 people were killed as a result of the explosion of landmines left of war, in the desert of Al-Shaer in the countryside of Homs, in Wadi Al-Azib in the countryside of Hama city, and in each of the southern desert of Deir ez-Zor and the town of Ras al-Maara in the western Qalamoun in Damascus countryside.
