A humanitarian aid convoy of 17 trucks carrying relief and medical supplies and baby formula entered the city of Kobani, following intensive efforts by the Mesopotamia Association to ensure the delivery of aid to the residents under the ongoing siege.

The Mesopotamia Association successfully delivered a humanitarian aid convoy to the city of Kobani early this morning, following intensive efforts and continuous communication with relevant authorities in Rojava and the Syrian Interim Government.

Jamila Hami, an administrator with the Mesopotamia Association, confirmed that the association dedicated all its resources to ensur the aid reached the city. She noted that the convoy was provided by Channel 8, which operates in southern Kurdistan, and its delivery came after persistent efforts and follow-up that continued for some time until it finally succeeded in the early hours of the morning.

The convoy consisted of 17 trucks carrying approximately 450 tons of relief and medical supplies, in addition to food baskets, milk and diapers for children, quantities of rice, and blankets. This initiative aims to alleviate the severity of the humanitarian crisis afflicting the city.

The convoy will be handed over to the relevant authorities in the Kobani administration for distribution to residents according to their needs.

Kobani has been under a suffocating siege imposed by factions affiliated with the interim government since January 20th, leading to a significant deterioration in living conditions amidst a severe shortage of relief, medical, and food supplies.

The city is home to more than 600,000 people, including thousands displaced from dozens of surrounding villages who fled attacks launched by these factions on their areas
