SDF captures ISIS cell in Deri-ez-Zor

Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces issued a statement to public opinion, which stated:

 “Within the framework of ongoing operations to combat the remnants of ISIS terrorist cells, the Anti-Terrorism Units (YAT) affiliated with our forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces, and the International Coalition Forces carried out a precise security operation yesterday, Saturday, in the town of “Al-Shuhail” in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, targeting a terrorist organization cell.

The operation was carried out through an airdrop in which the joint forces targeted a house in which the terrorist cell members were hiding. They were able to arrest the cell members, numbering 7 terrorists, who had participated in carrying out several terrorist acts that targeted our forces and civilians in the area. The cell was also active in Securing and transporting weapons and ammunition to the terrorist organization and financing its cells, in addition to exploiting the events that took place in the Deir ez-Zor countryside last September to carry out their terrorist acts.

Our forces affirm their commitment to the struggle against the terrorist organization ISIS until it is eliminated and to preserve the security and stability of the region and its residents.”
