The People's Defense Forces killed 14 Turkish occupation soldiers and wounded 6 others, during operations they carried out against the occupation army in the Zap region in the Mediya  Defense areas in Southern Kurdistan

The Media Center of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG) issued a written statement about the operations carried out by Guerrilla fighters and the Turkish occupation attacks on the Mediya defense areas in Southern Kurdistan.

Attacks launched by the Turkish occupation army:

On October 7, 8, and 9, warplanes of the occupation army bombed the resistance area and Rakhil in the Avashin area 30 times.

On October 7, 8, and 9, the Barzan area was bombed 9 times by warplanes.

On October 9, attack helicopters bombed the areas of Zap, Avashin, Matina, and Martyr Dalil, west of Zap and Barzan.

The areas of Zap, Martyr Dalil, west of Zap, Khakurk, and Matina were subjected to artillery shelling.”
