The co-chair of the Legislative Council in the Jazira region considered the Turkish attack a war crime committed against the residents of NE, Syria, by targeting vital installations, and called on international forces to intervene and protect stability, also calling on the people to resist, saying: “We are the owners of the rights and the land.”

The Turkish occupation state escalated its attacks targeting vital installations in northern and eastern Syria, targeting sites in Al-Hasakah, Amuda, Tirbespî, Jal Agha, and the Euphrates region, including power stations, dams, and oil sites.

Commenting on the Turkish attacks, the co-chair of the Legislative Council in Jazira region, Hikmat Al-Habib, said that the attack being launched is a war crime committed against NE, Syria.

In his statement to ANHA's agency, he pointed out, "The Justice and Development government, since assuming power in Turkey, has taken an openly hostile stance against the region, and today the Turkish occupation army is again targeting the infrastructure in NE, Syria."

Al-Habib stressed that “the sites being targeted are vital installations, and damaging them directly harms the lives of the people in NE, Syria.”

He stated, "The Turkish occupation state is using pretexts to launch attacks on NE, Syria, in an attempt to legitimize its aggression and brutality."

Al-Habib called on international powers to take a clear position on the Turkish war crime and to intervene immediately.

He addressed the citizens of NE, Syria about the necessity of resisting the occupation, with resolve and determination until it is defeated from the entire Syrian territory, saying, "We are the owners of the rights and the land."
