“Leader Abdullah Ocalan is the only one capable of bringing the people to safety”

October 9 marks the 25th anniversary of weaving the threads of the international conspiracy concluded against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, by removing him from Syria in 1998, then arresting him in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, on August 15, 1999, and handing him over to the Turkish occupation state, which imposed strict isolation on him. It reached its peak on March 25, 2021.

The co-chair of the Aleppo Cultural Forum, Laila Khaled, confirmed that Leader Abdullah’s project guarantees the rights of all components and said: “The architect of the democratic nation’s paradigm is Leader Abdullah Ocalan, with his project, guaranteeing the political, cultural and social rights of all peoples in accordance with the principles of justice and equality.”

Laila pointed out that the project of the leader Abdullah Ocalan and the system of hegemonic countries are like parallel lines that do not meet at a point, but rather they are opposite and completely different from each other, and she said: “Therefore, this project does not agree with the project of the hegemonic countries, so it was exposed to a major international conspiracy in which major countries participated.”

Laila Khaled explained the difference between the leader’s project and the interests of states: “The leader’s thought and philosophy call for uniting peoples, unlike the projects of dominant states that are based on dismantling peoples. It is also the key to the solution to the crises of the Middle East and all peoples, and the isolation imposed on him is only one of the repressive methods aimed at undermining the international project and blow to the Kurdish people, their annihilation and exclusion."

"Efforts to establish peace"

Laila Khaled confirmed that: “The leader’s thought aims to establish peace by proposing peace operations that began from 1993 until 2005.” The experience of leader Abdullah Ocalan, through his proposal for peace processes that called for a ceasefire, was likened to the experience of Mahatma Gandhi with British colonialism, when he used nonviolence against colonialism in which he achieved the demands of his people.

Laila mentioned Mahatma Gandhi’s saying: “They will ignore you, then they will fight you, then they will try to kill you, then they will negotiate with you, then they will retreat, and you will win like heroes.” She linked it to the Kurdish reality, and stressed: “The freedom of the Kurdish people and all peoples will be achieved thanks to the leader Abdullah Ocalan.”

Leila stressed the necessity of unity at the current stage: “All we have to do is unity to achieve the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.”

His idea is a weapon capable of deterring regimes

As for the member of the Committee of Aleppo Notables, Ali Al-Hassan, he mentioned the events of the plot planned against leader Abdullah and said: “The exit of leader Abdullah Ocalan was carried out through an international conspiracy and a plot by countries, with Turkish pressure on Syria, and international intelligence continues, and no country was granted political asylum until he was kidnapped in Kenya.

Al-Hassan referred to what the leader presented to the peoples, and said: “Leader Abdullah Ocalan is an international leader and carries the idea of freedom and democracy for the people of the entire region, and he was not a leader of the Kurdish people only.”

Regarding Turkey’s goals of tightening the isolation, Al-Hassan said: “By kidnapping him, after 24 years, strict isolation was imposed on him in his prison so that his ideas, which are a safety and the only weapon that stands against the tyrannical, dictatorial, nationalist regimes that follow religious ideology, do not reach the people and supporters of their ideas.”

"The captain who guides the ship to safety"

He added: "Therefore, the Turkish state uses isolation against him, but the leader, with his resistance, patience, and insistence on his project, has reached his idea today to all the peoples of the Middle East, as the project of the democratic nation and the brotherhood of peoples, and today we reap its fruits from solidarity, brotherhood, and cooperation between the components of the people without division. All are brothers who love each other under his idea and project."

Al-Hassan confirmed the release of leader Abdullah Ocalan: “We hope to see leader Abdullah Ocalan among his people to lead the ship and bring it to safety, because he is the only captain capable of steering the ship.”
