AANES recalls Mam Jalal Talabani on sixth anniversary of his death

Today, a delegation from the Autonomous Administration Representative, headed by the representative of the Autonomous Administration, Evin Sweid, and members of the Administrative Body of the Representative, Fathallah Hosseini and Zahia al Rashi, visited the tomb of President Jalal Talabani, on “Debashan” Hill in the city of Sulaymaniyah in southern Kurdistan, on the occasion of The sixth anniversary of his passing.

The delegation of the AANES Representative placed a wreath on the tomb of the late Jalal Talabani, and then condolences were offered to the members of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan. On the same day, the AANES Representative sent a message of condolence to the leadership of the National Union on this occasion.

That reads:

"Today, October 3, 2023, marks the sixth anniversary of the passing of President Jalal Talabani, former President of the Republic of Iraq and Secretary-General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

On this painful occasion for the hearts of our Kurdish people throughout Kurdistan; We remember the struggle of President Mam Jalal, from the mountaintops to the presidency of the republic. As the first Kurdish and Iraqi president elected to the presidency.

We remember with reverence the anniversary of Mam Jalal’s passing; Emphasizing the importance and necessity of consolidating and strengthening relations between Rojava, NE Syria, and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan; In a way that serves the interests and gains of our people everywhere".
