Nasr al-Din Ibrahim: Assassination of Comrade Deniz is a terrorist act

The Secretary-General of the Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria (Parti), Nasr al-Din Ibrahim, spoke to ANHA's agency and confirmed the continuation of the Turkish state’s attacks against the Kurds. He pointed to its (Turkey’s) emphasis on overthrowing any Kurdish administration wherever it may be, and said: “Their brutality will not break the will of our people.”

Nasr al-Din Ibrahim commented on the assassination of the representative of the Kurdistan National Congress in Başûr Kurdistan (Southern Kurdistan), Deniz Jawdat Balbon, saying: “The assassination of Comrade Deniz is a terrorist act, and indicates the practice of the Justice and Development Party government of organized state-run terrorism, just as the attacks that targeted our fellow leaders in the Women's Protection Units in Manbij and Qamishlo are an unprecedented war against our people and the revolution of the Kurdistan democratic nation. We stand with the actions and activities of those calling for freedom, side by side and we leave them alone.

Ibrahim expressed their condemnation of this "terrorist attack" as a party, and pointed out the necessity of holding a Kurdistan national conference at this stage. He continued his speech by saying: "There is a big plan against the Kurds. They realize that the Kurds are moving in this new stage, towards freedom and independence."
